Comprehensive Backup Strategy
- Nightly Database Backups: All databases are automatically backed up every night to a dedicated backup server isolated from the public network. These are archived for 30 days, allowing for point-in-time restoration.
- File & Application Backups: Customer files and core application files are backed up nightly and archived for 14 days.
- Monthly Cold Storage: A secondary remote cold storage backup is performed every month and archived for 12 months for long-term disaster recovery.
- Data Sovereignty: All data is hosted and backed up across multiple secure locations within Sydney, Australia. No backup data leaves Australia.
Encryption & Access
- Encryption at Rest: We utilize industry-leading encryption to secure all stored information. Sensitive data, such as passwords, are encrypted before being saved to the database.
- Encryption in Transit: Data moving between your devices and our servers is protected using secure HTTPS/SSL protocols to prevent interception.
- Access Control: Access is strictly controlled through user-level permissions. Internally, data is managed exclusively by the Nexus Digital Technology technical team under rigorous security protocols.
Data Portability & Disposal
- Data Export: Users can export data to CSV files effortlessly using built-in tools. For complex specifications, our technical team provides database services to assist with the transition.
- Secure Disposal: Upon contract termination and the expiration of the notice period, data is disposed of based on industry standards for decommissioning to ensure it is no longer accessible.
