Welcome to Nexus Step-by-Step Training where we'll guide you through the steps of updating a customer's contact details, adding an additional Contact to an existing Customer and setting the new Contact as the Billing Contact.

1. To begin, we need to open an existing customer.

In this example, I'm searching via the Customers icon on the main menu.


2. First find the customer you want to update. Select Open.


3. Once the Customer opens, click on Contacts tab.


4. In this example there is only one Contact. Click on Open.


5. Here, you can update any contacts details for the customer.

In this example I've added a Company Name.


6. You can edit any details and add additional phone numbers and emails as needed.


7. Click on Save. You've successfully updated an existing customer's detail.


8. If you want to add an additional contact, stay within the Customer. Under the Customer tab, click New Contact.


9. Enter any known details.

The system will allow you to skip some of the required fields now. For example, if you don't have a different phone number for this contact, you can leave that field blank.


10. From the drop-down menu under Property, you can select the same Property or add an additional Property.

We will leave that step for another guide. In this example, both contacts are attached to the one Property.


11. Finish adding all the new contact's details.


12. Click on Save.


13. There are now two Contacts in the Contacts tab and the system will have automatically allocated the first contact entered as the Main Contact and the Billing Contact.


14. When you hover over the Open Icon for the new contact, you can choose to set this contact as the Main and/or Billing Contact.

In this example, we will leave Matt as the Main and make Jess the Billing Contact. Simply Click on Set as Billing.


15. You will now be able to see which contact is set as Main and/or Billing when you look at the contacts in the Contact tab.
