Welcome to Nexus Step-by-Step Training where we'll guide you through how to add a new employee assignment through two different methods. Including how to make an assignment repeat automatically, how to edit an assignment and how to delete an assignment.
1. There are two main ways to add a new employee assignment.
The first is using the "New Assignment" drag and drop feature on the Daily Schedule and the second is to use the "Employee Assignment" option under Reports.
2. First let's try the quickest option - the "New Assignment" drag and drop feature on the Daily Schedule.
Click on Daily Schedule from the main menu on the left-hand side.
3. To add a new assignment using this method, you click on coloured square next to the wording New Assignment.
4. Drag and drop on a cell in the schedule that you want book it for.
5. In this example, an 8hr Annual leave assignment is the pre-set assignment type.
6. To edit this assignment, click on Open.
7. Here you can edit the assignment Type, Hours, and/or Recurring time using the drop-down menus.
8. Type any notes for the employee regarding the assignment.
9. Click on Save.
10. The assignment has now been updated.
11. If you need more assignment options, use the second option. Click on Reports from the main menu.
12. Click on Employee Assignments.
13. Under New Assignment use the drop-down options to create the details for the assignment you'd like to add.
14. After all details are correct, click on Add.
15. Click on a cell in the schedule that you want book it for.
16. Adding a New Assignment through this process will allow you to recur the assignment for days and over weekends, so is ideal for adding Annual Leave assignments.
17. To delete an assignment, you can select the red cross next to an assignment under the Employee Assignments list.
The system will prompt you to confirm before deleting the assignment.
18. Alternatively, you can delete the assignment in the schedule by clicking on the assignment and selecting Delete.
