Overview
The Referral Activity Graph is a diagnostic tool designed to provide a visual breakdown of how new customers and leads are being referred to your business. It allows management to identify trends in referral timing and the effectiveness of different referral sources.
Where to Find It
- Open the main navigation menu.
- Select Reports.
- Under the Trend Analysis Reports heading, click Referral Activity Graph.
Using the Report
The report is interactive and updates based on the filters selected at the top of the page.
Filters
- Company: Filter data to a specific branch or company entity.
- Customer Type: Switch between "All Customer Types", "Customers", or "Leads" to see how different segments are being referred.
- Select Date: Choose a specific Year and Month to analyze. The report will automatically refresh when these values are changed.
Understanding the Graphs
The page provides several visualizations based on the selected month and year:
1. Referral Types (Doughnut Chart)
This shows the distribution of referral sources (e.g., Google, Word of Mouth, Print Media) for the selected period.
Drill-down: Clicking on a referral type name in the legend will redirect you to a detailed Jobs Report filtered specifically for that referral source and date range.
2. Days of Weeks
A bar graph showing which days of the week (Mon–Sun) see the highest volume of new referrals. This is useful for identifying peak inquiry days.
3. Days of Months
A granular view of referral activity for every day in the selected month, helping identify specific dates with high marketing response.
4. Months
A high-level view showing the total number of referrals for each month of the selected year, useful for identifying seasonal trends.
5. Years
A historical comparison showing referral totals for previous years relative to the current selection.
Troubleshooting
