Overview
The User Activity Graph is a visual analytics tool designed to provide management with a high-level overview of staff interaction with the system. By transforming raw log data into intuitive bar charts, the report helps identify patterns in productivity and operational volume across Daily, Monthly, and Yearly timeframes.
Data Source
Values in this report are derived from the user logs table. Every tracked system action (creating jobs, updating records, etc.) generates a timestamped entry. This report aggregates these entries to visualize the volume of activity per user.
How to Use the Report
Accessing the Report:
Navigate to the Reports section in the left-hand main menu and click on User Activity Graph under the Trend Analysis Reports.
Filters:
- User: Select a specific employee to view individual activity, or "All" to compare the entire team.
- Action: Filter by specific behaviors (e.g., "Add", "Update", "Delete") using the user action field.
- Date: Select a reference date to generate charts for that specific Day, the associated Month, and the Year.
The Graphs:
- Bars are scaled relative to the user with the highest activity in that period.
- Labels display the Employee Code and the total log count.
Why Management Should Use This Report
1. Productivity Benchmarking
Quickly identify the most active team members. While volume doesn't always equal quality, it is a key indicator of system engagement and workload distribution.
2. System Adoption Monitoring
Ensure staff are keeping records up to date. Low activity for a high-output field technician may indicate a need for further training or failure to complete digital paperwork.
3. Audit & Security Oversight
Monitor for unusual spikes in specific actions, such as "Delete." A large bar in the delete category for a specific month can prompt a proactive audit of specific records.
4. Trend Analysis
Compare daily performance against long-term consistency. Identify if productivity is dipping during certain seasons or if a new user's engagement is improving over the year.
