Customers will see this as the from address also known as the SMS Sender ID.

This can be set to a mobile number starting with 614 or company name.

Requirements:

  • Max 11 characters
  • No spaces.
  • Not include restricted terms like “Verify”, “Alert”, “Banking”, “Notice”, “Important”, etc.
  • Not be misleading or offensive
  • Match your business name, trading name, domain, or a clear abbreviation

All alphanumeric sender IDs must be registered with ACMA. We help with these process.

If a sender ID isn’t registered:

  • Your message will still be delivered
  • But it will appear on customers phones as “Unverified”

This is part of the government’s push to reduce SMS scams and increase trust in genuine business messages.
