What is the Job Report?
The Job Report in Nexus Service Manager provides a comprehensive overview of all jobs recorded within the system. It allows you to view, filter, and analyze job data based on various criteria, offering valuable insights into your service operations and scheduling.
Why Use This Report?
This report is a central tool for managing and understanding your service jobs:
- Comprehensive Overview: Provides a single view of all jobs, allowing for easy monitoring.
- Filtering Capabilities: Enables you to narrow down the job list based on specific criteria such as technician, category, job type, date, and more.
- Actionable Insights: Helps identify trends, track job status, and manage workload effectively.

How to Use the Report
1. Accessing the Report:
Navigate to the Reports section in the left-hand main menu and click on Job Report.
2. Understanding and Using the Filters:
At the top of the Job Report, you'll find several powerful filters to customize the displayed job data:
- All Technicians: Use this dropdown to filter jobs assigned to a specific technician or view all technicians' jobs.
- All Categories: If your system uses job categories, you can filter jobs based on these categories using this dropdown.
- All Job Types: Filter jobs by their specific type, such as installation, repair, or maintenance.
- All Sources: This filter allows you to view jobs originating from different sources (e.g., web, phone).
- All Industries: If applicable, filter jobs based on the industry they relate to.
- All Companies: Filter jobs associated with a specific customer company or view jobs for all companies.
- All Statuses: While not visible in the screenshot, there might be a filter here to view jobs based on their current status (e.g., Open, Scheduled, Completed).
- Company Name: Type in a company name to quickly find jobs associated with that specific customer.
- Job ID: If you know the specific Job ID, enter it here to directly find that job.
- Start Date / End Date: Use these fields and the calendar icons to select a specific date range. Only jobs with a "Date Booked" within this range will be displayed after clicking the Date button.
- Export Button: Located at the top right, this button allows you to export the currently filtered job data, likely in a CSV or Excel format for offline analysis.
- Total Value: Displayed at the top right, this figure shows the sum of the "Value / Invoice" for all jobs currently visible based on your applied filters.
3. Understanding the Report Columns:
The main table of the Job Report displays the following key information for each job:

Job ID: A unique identification number for each job. Clicking the Open link will likely take you to the detailed job record.
Customer: The name of the customer associated with the job.
Date Booked: The date and time when the job was initially scheduled or booked.
Order / Quote Number: Any purchase order or quotation number associated with the job.
Service Address: The physical address where the service is to be or was performed.
Value / Invoice: The monetary value of the job. There might also be a link or indication related to the invoice status or creation for this job.
4. Interacting with the Report:
- Open Link: Clicking the "Open" link next to a Job ID allows you to view the comprehensive details of that specific job.
- Sorting Columns: You can likely click on the column headers (e.g., Customer, Date Booked) to sort the job list in ascending or descending order based on that column. Look for arrow indicators when hovering over the headers.
- Invoice Information: The "Value / Invoice" column may contain links or status indicators related to the invoicing process for each job.
Best Practices for Using the Job Report
- Regular Review: Periodically review the Job Report to stay informed about all ongoing and completed jobs.
- Utilize Filters: Leverage the filters to focus on specific sets of jobs for analysis or action (e.g., jobs for a specific customer or within a particular date range).
- Export for Deeper Analysis: Use the export functionality to analyze job data offline or integrate it with other reporting tools.
