Best Route Function

The Best Route function is a valuable tool to help you schedule or reschedule jobs efficiently by recommending technicians, dates, and times that minimize travel time.

When is it available?

  • This feature is only available when you schedule or reschedule a job, not when using the drag-and-drop function.
  • Look for the Best Route button in the top left corner of the reschedule screen.
  • The system setting called "Best Routes" must be enabled.

How does it work?

  1. The system uses the address of the job you're scheduling/rescheduling.
  2. It calculates the distance from that address to all scheduled jobs for the next two weeks.
  3. It then displays a list of the 10 closest jobs with the following information:
    • Assigned technician
    • Date and time of the job
    • Suburb
    • Distance from the current job (in kilometers)
  4. Clicking an item in the list will take you to that specific date and time for scheduling.

What if no options are listed?

If the list is empty, it means there are currently no scheduled jobs in the vicinity of the job you're trying to schedule/reschedule.
